Trivia

  • Patty Jenkins considered utilizing her original idea for Wonder Woman II for this film, but she ultimately decided against it stating she needed to "move on" from the catastrophic sequel.
  • After the previous film, execs let Jenkins do whatever she wanted to do with the sequel with the only condition that it be released in a time unpopular for films. She ultimately agreed, even suggesting February. They did so, not realizing no other memorable films would be coming out at that time, so Wonder Woman III ultimately made a huge profit, which Jenkins expected.
  • Jenkins' only choice for the roles of Circe and Dark Angel were Charlize Theron and Thomasin McKenzie, after working with the former on Monster and greatly admired the latter's performance in Jojo Rabbit.
